WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson sophomore linebacker Tyler Gross (Pomona, N.Y./North Rockland) was named to the Oct. 4 D3football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware.
 
Selected as the Oct. 2 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Week, Gross led the Pioneers with 12 tackles, including 4.0 for a loss and 2.5 sacks, during an 18-13 Homecoming win Oct. 1 against Montclair State. The WP victory snapped a 22-game Red Hawk win streak in the series, dating back to a 26-23 Pioneer victory Oct. 16, 1993, in Wayne.
 
WP (2-2, 1-2 NJAC) will play at Frostburg State Saturday, Oct. 8, at 1:00 p.m.
