WAYNE, N.J. -- Third-seeded William Paterson (18-9, 13-5 NJAC) will square off against top-seeded Montclair State (24-2, 17-1 NJAC) in the championship game of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Basketball Tournament Friday, Feb. 28, at 7:00 p.m. at MSU. Live statistics and WP Radio's live broadcast will be available.

General Admission is $5.00. Students, children 12 and under, and senior citizens will be admitted for $2.00.

William Paterson is coming off an 81-70 NJAC Tournament semifinal victory at second-seeded The College of New Jersey (18-8, 14-4 NJAC) Feb. 25, while No. 8/9 Montclair State defeated fourth-seeded Kean (15-12, 11-7 NJAC), 76-62, in the other semifinal. The Red Hawks swept the regular-season series between the two schools, earning a 71-67 home win against the Pioneers Nov. 26 and an 81-60 victory in Wayne Jan. 29.

A two-time first-team all-conference selection (2013, 2014) as well as an honorable-mention all-American a year ago, senior 5-9 guard Floriana Borova (Cresskill, N.J./Cresskill) leads the NJAC with 21.4 points (26th in Division III) and 3.3 steals (tied-21st nationally) per game, adding 5.0 assists (second in league) and 6.0 rebounds per contest. She became WP's career assists (445) leader Feb. 8, and the career steals leader (312) Feb. 22, and is coming off a 48-point semifinal performance. Senior 5-11 forward Dana Jeter (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert), a member of the 2013 and 2014 All-NJAC Second Teams, is posting 11.5 tallies, 2.7 assists and a team-leading 8.9 boards (tied-seventh in league) and 1.9 blocks (second in NJAC) per game. Sophomore 5-4 guard Brittany Harden (Millville, N.J./Sacred Heart) is averaging 10.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.8 steals (fourth in NJAC) per contest, while senior 5-7 guard Kristine Jackiewicz (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) is adding 9.1 tallies and 5.4 boards per game.

William Paterson has won three NJAC Tournament titles, including two of the last three (1993, 2011, 2012). A year ago, Montclair State defeated the Pioneers, 75-54, in the NJAC Tournament championship game (Feb. 23, 2013, at MSU).
