INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – William Paterson men’s swimmer Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) will compete in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 back at the 2010 NCAA Division III Championships March 17-20 at the University Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn. Live results will be available online for the championship.

A senior, Karas will swim in the preliminary morning sessions for the 50 free on Wednesday, March 17, the 100 back on Friday, March 19, and the 100 free on Saturday, March 20. The finals will be conducted the same day during the evening session that begins at 6:00 p.m.

PITMAN, N.J. – William Paterson senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) was named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men’s Swimming All-First Team in the 50 free, the league office announced March 3.  Karas was just touched out by .01 to place second in the 50 free (20.89) and swim a NCAA Championships B qualifying standard while competing at the Metropolitan Championships Feb. 19-21.

WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s swimming senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Feb. 22. Karas was named the winner of the 2010 Metropolitan Collegiate Swimming and Diving Conference’s Dick Krempecki Outstanding Senior Award.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – A new record in the 200 medley relay highlighted the second day of action for the William Paterson men’s swimming and diving team Feb. 20 at the Metropolitan Championships, held at the Rutgers Aquatic Center. The Pioneers finished the day sixth of 12 Division III teams.
